One year ago, at 24th of July 2015 the new Power BI born. I still remember my first blog post of the new Power BI series written about new features of Power BI 2.0 General Availability. From that time, Power BI team made great effort to update this product every month and even more frequent. Power BI turned one year now, It is unbelievable when I think about it; how much a product can enhance in only one year. Thanks to Microsoft team for their great efforts. In this post I like to thank Microsoft team, users of Power BI, and you readers of my blog.
One Year Ago
Power BI 2.0 at 24th of July 2015 was too different from the product that you know today. Many new features added, many fixes applied, and there are still many improvements to come. I personally seen myself how businesses changed their self-service BI solution from other vendors to Power BI not only because of great features of this product, but also because of rapid improvement cycle of it.

From a week after first GA release of Power BI 2.0 in July 2015, I’ve started writing an online and up-to-date book for Power BI named; Power BI from Rookie to Rock Star. In the past 12 months I’ve written 40+ posts for this online book. I did my best to keep it regular, however in the next 12 months (starting today) I’ll promise more posts every week. Hopefully this book can help you to find an answer or solution for your Power BI real world case scenarios.
