Codecamp Christchurch 2015 SQL and BI Stream Highlights

Codecamp Christchurch 2015 ran today on Christchurch Poly-technique of Technology. I’ve joined the even in last minutes when the agenda was full set, so I only joined as audience. There was a really good turnout for the codecamp about 200 registered. Three streams ran on Software Development, SQL/BI, and SharePoint. 5 sessions in each stream. In total it was a good event, I had a chance to meet some friends and SQL Community down in Christchurch. Here is my highlights of the event.

Event started with the keynote of John Ascroft CIO of Jade Software, and he talked about the intelligent way of building sot ware systems.

SQL and BI stream had five sessions listed below;

Martin started the SQL/BI stream with a session on SQL Developer, Tips and Tricks.

Warwick then talked in a session about how to use BIML with Maintenance Plans in SQL Server to make DBA’s life easier.

Simon showed a very nice demo of Power BI working with Azure Streaming in his presentation.

Nick Draper talked in a session about new Azure SQL Data Warehouse new offering.

Leila showed insightful demos of Data Analytics with Microsoft Data Mining solutions (she would upload slides in her blog post later, so stay tuned)
