SQLBits is Awesome, But I cannot Attend! Why?!

It is with all regret that I cannot attend at the conference that is the largest SQL event in Europe, and always compared to SQLPASS Summit because of the high quality of content and large number of audience.

I was honored to be selected to speak for couple of sessions in SQLBits 2015, and I was really prepared for that. However I couldn’t manage to get my UK Visa because of the long process of the visa application.

So with all my willingness to come to SQLBits, and with all preparation that I’ve done, considering that I will be too close to the SQLBits (I will be at SQLRally Copenhagen with only couple of hours flight distance to SQLBits), and also considering the fact that I’ve purchased flight tickets and so on, I have to cancel my speaking engagement.

This is really a sadness that I cannot attend at this wonderful conference and won’t meet some of you because of that. But if you are in Europe, or if you are close enough to get benefits from this event, I highly recommend to you to go there. you will get many values from high quality sessions, you will have opportunity to talk with professionals of DBA, DEV, BI fields of SQL Server. and If you go there, please also remember me while you are there.

I would like to thank to SQLBits team, and specially thank to Allan Mitchell because of their efforts for organizing such great events.

My sessions that I’ve selected and prepared to speak in this event was:

Azure Data Factory vs SSIS

(Regular Sesssion)

Friday 6th March 2015, 5:00 pm

SSIS is a well known ETL tool on premisses. Azure Data Factory is a managed service on cloud which provides ability to extract data from different sources, transform it with data driven pipelines, and process the data. in this session you will see many demos comparing ADF (Azure Data Factory) with SSIS in different aspects. you will also learn features that are available in ADF but not in SSIS with many demos.

ETL Architecture for Solving Data Warehouse Challenges

(Double Session)

Saturday 7th March 2015, 11:15 am

Data Warehouses are heavily in use nowadays in most of businesses around the world. Data Warehousing brings higher performance, faster and more insightful data analysis out of operational databases. By the way there are some challenges in design and implementing Data Warehouses which needs robust and reliable ETL implementation. In this session you will learn an ETL Architecture implemented by SSIS and MDS to solve couple of most challengeable Data Warehousing scenarios which are Slowly Changing Dimension and Inferred Dimension Member. There will be many demos through this session which helps you to understand design and implementation of the architecture.

I appologize from all of you that I cannot attend, but I have no otherway, otherwise I would do it.

I really hope I could be able to come for next SQLBits, and see you all there for next years.
